Billy Joel Takes a Whack at Springsteen’s “Meeting Across the River”

Jimmy Kimmel is broadcasting from Brooklyn this week and while in town, took in Bruce Springsteen’s Broadway show alongside Howard Stern. Also on hand that evening was Billy Joel, who did not appear with Springsteen, despite Kimmel and Stern’s expectations (he was told no guests as it’s something of a scripted show), but he certainly knows his Bruce, as he shares his favorite song, with Kimmel’s Brooklyn band leader Paul Shaffer also joining the fray, as Joel calls out the changes. “Meeting Across the River,” from Born To Run, is also suitable given Kimmel’s Brooklyn residency.
