Avett Brothers Perform with Chris Cornell on Fallon

After performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Monday, The Avett Brothers were back yet again last night to perform “Vanity” from their upcoming album Magpie and the Dandelion due out October 15. Joining the Avetts was Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, adding vocals and guitar. Along with the performance, the band also joined Fallon for a skit. The segment, entitled “The Avett Brothers Sing Heavy Metal,” is exactly what it sounds like – The Avett Brothers singing heavy metal songs such as Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.”
