Premiere: Keller & The Keels “Medulla Oblongata” from Forthcoming Album ‘Speed’

Keller Williams’ 25th studio album, Speed, will be released on November 22nd. The record represents his third collaboration with flatpicker Larry Keel and bassist Jenny Keel, following 2006’s Grass and 2012’s Thief. The latest album from Keller & The Keels offers both original music as well as covers of artists such as: The Doors, Kacey Musgraves, Fiona Apple and Weezer.

Today we premiere the trio’s take on the Keller Williams composition “Medulla Oblongata.” Williams tells Relix that it is “one of the many songs  I’ve come up with from giving myself writing assignments. This one follows me through the blurred lines of hallucinations and apparitions with a bluegrass feel and a reggae break. Because bluegrass is just reggae sped up.  Please enjoy.”

Keller & The Keels’ Speed is now available for pre-order.
