Tom Morello, Courtney Barnett and More to Play ’10 Years of Mom + Pop’ Celebration
On Monday, Oct. 22, New York City based label Mom + Pop will celebrate their 10-year anniversary with all all-star celebration at Brooklyn Steel. The scheduled musical guests include Tom Morello, Courtney Barnett, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Alice Merton and Sunflower Bean.
In addition to teasing some unannounced performers, Mom + Pop will also release a special compilation to celebrate their 10th year. “We have enlisted dozens of artists from the Mom + Pop family past and present to contribute to our most comprehensive release to date,” the label wrote in a press release. “The three-disc release will include will include rarities, covers and and greatest hits.”
After the event, which is slated to open doors at 6 p.m., Mom + Pop will continue the party at Goodroom Brooklyn with a “Future Pop” event that will feature a Flume DJ set among other acts.
“Our ambition has been and always will be to build a collaborative label with transparency and sincere respect for our artist’s creative controls,” founder Michael Goldstone and co-president Thaddeus Rudd stated about Mom + Pop’s storied history.
Pre-sale for ’10 Years of Mom + Pop’ is currently underway. General on-sale will start Friday, September 14.
