One year ago today, Bob Weir surprised at a Dave Matthews Band late summer stop at the Greek Theatre for a performance of the Daniel Lanois classic “The Maker,” teaming with Matthews on the tune. 

The appearance marked the first time in ten years Weir and Matthews shared the stage, the last coming during his days with Dave & Friends where Weir joined in on “Iko Iko.” Previously, Matthews and Tim Reynolds welcomed Weir at an acoustic show in 1999 but this marked the very first time Weir sat in with the entire band.
