Song Premiere: Great American Taxi “We Can Run”

January 31, 2017

The latest album from Great American Taxi will be released this Friday, February 2. Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone produced Dr. Feelgood’s Traveling Medicine Show,  which features the group’s current lineup. Newest member
Arthur Lee Land (guitar, banjo, vocals) joins Chad Staehly (keyboards, vocals), Jim Lewin (guitar, vocals) and Brian Adams (bass, vocals). Drummer Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic, Hard Working Americans) also is on board for what Carbone describes as “cartwheels wonderfully through a range of moods, all while sounding of a piece. From the carnivalesque title track to the expansive ‘Motherlode,’ to the easy flowing, handmade feel of ‘Home,’ this is an album that takes you on a journey that you’re glad to be on.”

Today we premiere “We Can Run” from Dr. Feelgood’s Traveling Medicine Show (which is now available for pre-order). Arthur Lee Land tells Relix, “For me this song is about movement and the ongoing journey – into a better place in life, leaving the past behind and finding support when you thought you were alone.”
