It’s hard to believe, but the Cubs are World Series Champions ending the longest drought in sports. At the center of it all was Eddie Vedder, who found himself at Progressive Field in Cleveland along with lifetime Cubs fans John Cusack and Chris Chelios to take in the thrilling, ten-inning finale. 

After the game, the Cubs posted the below video to their Twitter account. A moving montage of celebrations around Wrigleyville as hundreds of thousands flooded the street to celebrate. The tune, of course, was Vedder’s “All the Way” where he sings “someday we’ll go all the way.” Today is that very day for the Cubs and their fans. Watch below.

And of course, Vedder wound up in the middle of the celebration and gave a quick interview. “I’m numb,” he said after the final out. “That happened, right? Or was it just my dream?”
