Five Songs to Change Jay Z’s Mind on The War on Drugs

Earlier this morning, someone passed along the news to me that Jay Z thinks The War on Drugs is an “epic fail.” After laughing at someone using “epic fail” in 2016, I took offense without researching any context whatsoever that one of our finest hip hop artists and moguls would take time out of his day to put down a hard-working indie rock band like The War on Drugs. I could only imagine how bad Adam Granduciel felt after hearing his comments.

With that, I’d like to convince Jay to give the band another shot. I think there are some tunes he’d really enjoy. Maybe Beyonce will too, or Blue. Let’s start with these five and I’ll let you take it from here, Jay.

“Arms Like Boulders”

“Your Love Is Calling My Name”

“Burning”

“An Ocean in Between the Waves”

“Red Eyes”

Oh, shit. He’s talking about THAT war on drugs. Noted. Carry on then, Jay.
