Watch: Foo Fighters Welcome Supermoon Lunar Eclipse with CCR Cover

Last night, a blood supermoon lunar eclipse took place, which is just fancy science talk for when the moon resembles Mars for a few minutes. If you managed to catch it last night, you know just how incredible it looked and those in attendance at the Foo Fighters show in Albuquerque had a soundtrack to the event as the band busted out a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising” as the moon was put on the venue’s screens.

The performance marks the first time the Foos have ever played the song, although they did perform it with John Fogerty as a part of the Sound City Players tour. Fogerty led the group on several CCR tunes including “Fortunate Son” and others.
