Rock ‘N’ Jam Fantasy Camp Details Return to New York City: Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti, Eric Krasno and More
Today, Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp announced it will return to New York to bring people together at The Cutting Room with its second-ever Rock ‘N’ Jam Fantasy Camp on June 22-25. The institution–which is in its 25th year–will celebrate, educate and inspire through four days of jamming, Q&A’s, masterclasses and instruction to ready campers to make music with the likes of Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti, Scott Metzger, Eric Krasno, John Medeski and more.
“Where else can you trade licks with members of The Dead?! There is no better place to hone your chops and jam with the pros than at Rock ‘n’ Jam Fantasy Camp,” said Rock Camp musical director Britt Lightning in a statement. “Everyone involved, from the campers to the artists, grow musically and personally from this unique, immersive and intimate experience. The last Jam Band Camp with Phil Lesh was incredible, and I can’t wait to see the magic of this Camp. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!”
The exclusive limited-capacity camp, also presented by Relix and Dayglo Presents, will enable musicians to live out their dream of performing with their heroes: The debut Rock ‘N’ Jam Fantasy Camp connected campers with the likes of Lesh, John Scofield and Robert Randolph.
Over the course of the musical experience, vocalists and musicians will take their skills and confidence to the next level by jamming with and learning from their esteemed councilors, including Alex Koford (Grateful Shred, Terrapin Family Band), Fuzz (Deep Banana Blackout), Lo Faber (God Street Wine), Leslie Mendelson, Steve Liesman (Stella Blues Band), Greg Wieczorek (Norah Jones) and more. During the sessions, they’re bound to realize their dreams are possible while creating bonds of friendships with fellow aspiring artists from all around the world.
The Rock ‘N’ Jam Fantasy Camp will culminate with a showcase performance in front of family, friends, and jamband fans.
“We are super psyched to be creating an ongoing tradition with David [Fishof]and Rock Camp,” said Relix publisher Peter Shapiro. “The magic and allure of live music is stronger than ever, and we want to help people get even deeper inside of it.”
