Snarky Puppy Announce Empire Central North American Tour 2023
Today, American instrumental ensemble Snarky Puppy announced they’re currently preparing for their return to stages across the U.S. early next year. The tour–produced by GroundUP Music–is being touted as the Empire Central North American Tour and is set to kick off in late March of 2023.
To start things off, the musical collective led by bassist Michael League will bring their combination of jazz idioms, rock, funk, and world music that has garnered them four Grammy Awards to the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minn., on March 29. They’ll continue to touch upon the heart of the country with a stop at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, Wis., before hitting Chicago, Gary, Ind., Kalamazoo, Mich. and Cleveland, Ohio.
On April 6, they’ll head towards the East Coast for a show at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, N.Y. and continue to traverse the east with shows at the Roadrunner in Boston and Tillis Hall at The Fine Arts Center UMASS in Amherst, Mass. and more. Snarky Puppy will float around the North East until the tail end of their tour when they’ll treat some southern cities, including Huntington, W.Va. and Nashville, Tenn., to their sonic delights. Snarky Puppy’s tour will culminate with a performance at The Eastern in Atlanta on April 28.
“We’ll be back on the road in March for our Empire Central North American 2023 tour!” Snarky Puppy shared on Instagram. “Hope to see you there…”
It’s notable that during the tour, Snarky Puppy will make their debut at one of the most distinguished and adored New York institutions, the Beacon Theatre, on April 13–which housed Trey Anastasio’s iconic Beacon Jams and welcomes annual multi-night runs from Tedeschi Trucks Band, Widespread Panic and more.
Snarky Puppy are also set to perform across Europe in the U.K. in October and November of this year, with stops in Glasgow, Dublin, Lond, Zurich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Vienna, Budapest and more.
Presale tickets for Snarky Puppy’s Empire Central North American Tour will be available on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. EST. The pre-sale for the show at the Beacon Theatre can be accessed with the promo code RELIXPUPPY. General on-sale will begin on Friday, July 22 at 10 a.m. Find tickets here.
