SummerStage NYC Announces Return of In-Person Performances This Summer

SummerStage NYC has announced that in-person performances will return this coming summer. The concert series will hold events at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park and at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem.

According to a press release, “Pending adjustments to current NYC restrictions, free music and dance performances will return…this summer. Performances will follow all state and local regulations regarding large-scale outdoor events, including limited capacity, masks and socially distanced seating.”

The press release went on to note that admittance to these events “will require a free ticket, proof of vaccine and/or negative COVID test, and health screening – such as a questionnaire and temperature checks.” SummerStage also noted that all in-person performances are set to be livestreamed on SummerStageAnywhere.org.

In addition to the free events, SummerStage also announced a benefit show for September 2021. Dawes will perform at Rumsey Playfield on Sept. 17; tickets go on sale on Apr. 16 at 10 a.m. ET. For tickets and more information, click here.
