Video: David Letterman Loves Ryan Adams, Requests An Encore

As David Letterman prepares to call it a career, he’s having a lot of fun with the musical guests on his show. After playing host to some of the brightest in music over the last few months, Letterman welcomed an old pal, Ryan Adams on the show in support of his new self-titled record.
Adams and his band The Shining performed the single “Gimme Something Good” for the Ed Sullivan Theatre audience and did it so well, in fact, that the host demanded the band continue playing as the end credits rolled. After checking with bandleader Paul Shaffer, Letterman encouraged the guys to keep on jamming, to which they obliged.
