Widespread Panic to Receive Commemoration from Georgia House and Senate

Members of Widespread Panic will appear before the Georgia Senate and the Georgia House of Representatives tomorrow morning. Both legislative bodies have put forth resolutions to be passed in honor of the group, which debuted 25 years ago in Athens, GA. Widespread Panic joins a select number of Georgia artists who have been so honored, including Ray Charles and James Brown. The event is open to the public and will move from the Senate at 11:00am EST to the House of Representatives at approximately 11:15am EST. Both ceremonies will be streamed live through the Georgia General Assembly website at http://www.legis.ga.gov/en-US/default.aspx.
Tonight, Widespread Panic will perform in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre.
