The Hangout Will Return in 2011

The Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival will return to Gulf Shores, AL this spring. The second-annual festival will take place from May 20-22, 2011 on the same sandy, white beaches that hosted the inaugural event in 2010. The Hangout donated all the profits from last year’s festival to those affected by BP’s oil spill. Gulf Shores has also hosted benefit performances by the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Brad Paisley, and Bon Jovi since last May.
This year’s festival lineup is expected to feature a mix of rock, jam, indie, pop and Americana acts. Last year’s lineup brought together Zac Brown Band, John Legend, Trey Anastasio & TAB, The Black Crowes, Gov’t Mule, Guster, Ben Harper, The Whigs, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu and Keller Williams, among others.
