Reed Mathis (bass), Marco Benevento (pipe organ) and four electric guitarists (including Sunn O))))’s Stephen O’Malley) cross-pollinate 15th-century composer Guillaume Dufay’s Missa Sancti Jacobi (as sung by the 11-piece Rose Ensemble) with heavy-metal mayhem over the course of a steadily building 69 minutes of sanctified thrash suitable for both cathedrals and arenas.
