On Saturday, Oct. 12, Zach Bryan joined Trampled By Turtles at Levitate Flannel Jam for a surprise sit-in during the sextet’s headlining set. The Marshfield, Ma. affair saw the beloved singer-songwriter join onstage for a trio of dynamic tunes, including his own “Revival.”

The Flannel Jam pros–who first headlined the event in 2019–decided to shake the Marshfield Fairgrounds up with longtime fan and collaborator Zach Bryan. Lending his powerful country vocals to the six-piece bluegrass ensemble, the beloved singer-songwriter poured himself into Trampled by Turtles originals “Alone” and “Whiskey” during the latter half of an instantly iconic staging.

“These truly are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my entire life,” said Bryan, referring to his personal connections to the band, who provided support on his 2023 tour dates. “I’ve been listening to them since I was 18 years old,” he added, just before delving into an anthemic performance of “Revival,” making for an anthemic, electrifying set closer.

Trampled By Turtles is set to return to the road later this month, with an exciting co-headline performance with The Avett Brothers set for Oct. 24 at Saint Paul’s Xcel Energy Center. Bryan is also gearing up for more live performances this fall, as the next leg of his Quittin Time Tour kicks off at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta on Nov. 17 and 18, and comes to a close with a return to Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on Dec. 18 and 19.
