Yo La Tengo’s latest studio album, Fade is set for release next Tuesday, January 15. This is the trio’s first record since 2009’s Popular Songs and the group will support it with a world tour that opens on January 23 at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC. The band will visit the West Coast a week earlier, though, to deliver four free in-store performances, appearing at Fingerprints in Long Beach, CA on January 16, Amoeba Music in Hollywood, CA on January 17, Easy Street in Seattle, WA on January 18 and Amoeba Music in San Francisco, CA on January 19. Yo La Tengo has long supported independent record stories and the group’s “What’s In My Bag’” video from Amoeba appears below.
