Watch John Mayer’s Surprise NYC Sit-In with Nick Cassarino of The Nth Power

As one of America’s great music cities, New York is brimming over with great performances every night of the week.
This was certainly the case on Saturday, May 11, when John Mayer spontaneously joined The Nth Power guitarist Nick Cassarino at the Olive Tree.
The duo performed Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror” and classic blues cut “How Blue Can You Get (Downhearted),” as well as a ten-minute version of Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” for a very surprised audience.
Located above the famed Comedy Cellar, the venue naturally had some comedians milling about, including Sherrod Small, who can be seen enjoying Cassarino and Mayer’s tunes onstage. A two-part horn section of Coleman Hughes and Max Boiko also joined in, adding a brass accent to the duo’s final song.
