Watch: Death Cab for Cutie Celebrate 10th Studio Album with Performance on ‘Kimmel’

Last night, Death Cab For Cutie stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a performance in celebration of the release of their 10th studio album Asphalt Meadows. The indie rock ensemble performed an on-air live performance of the project’s title track and an off-air segment that tracked in at over 15 minutes to further usher in the career milestone.
Despite working on Death Cab for Cutie for over 20 years, frontman Ben Gibbard’s vocals are as crisp and emotive as his early days, and his band – comprised of Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr – showcased admirable rock-and-roll chops and energy during the off-air segment. Over the 15 minutes, they performed two tracks off Asphalt Meadows, “Roman Candles” and “Foxglove Through the Clearcut,” along with a cut off their 2001 LP The Photo Album, “A Movie Script Ending.”
Asphalt Meadows is out now and can be streamed below. The offering also contains the single “Here to Forever,” which the band also recently shared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
