Trey Anastasio Joins Allison Case and Jay Armstrong Johnson for “I’m Gone”

Hands on a Hardbody is still chugging along on Broadway. The Brooks Atkinson Theater was at 81% capacity last week, up 4% from the prior week. The show’s playwright, Doug Wright, just spoke with Vanity Fair where he describes working with Trey Anastasio, noting “Trey is the first to admit that he’s a closet musical-theater fan…In truth, Trey taught me about musical theater.” In addtion, a song from the show is featured in today’s New York Times In Performance blog. Actors Allison Case and Jay Armstrong Johnson sing ’I’m Gone,” accompanied by Anastasio on acoustic guitar.
