The National’s Homecoming Festival Unveils Lineup

The National’s Homecoming Festival – set for May 8 and 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio – has announced its lineup, which was curated by the band.

The National themselves will headline the festival with two unique sets, including a full performance of their 2010 release High Violet. Other artists include Patti Smith and Her Band, Of Monsters and Men, Local Natives, Japanese Breakfast and more.

Homecoming will take place on May 8 and 9 at Smale Park in Cincinnati. Additionally, MusicNOW, an event founded in 2006 by National guitarist Bryce Dessner, will take place over the same weekend. The companion festival offering a variety of separately-ticketed late-night events on May 8 and 9, and then a full day of programming on May 10.

Homecoming itself was launched in 2018; after a hiatus in 2019, the band is excited to present another edition of the festival. “It’s great to invite our friends and fans to our hometown – the place where we all began our lives and listeners and musicians,” said drummer Bryan Devendorf via press release. “Putting on this intimate event on the banks of the Ohio River is meaningful to us and our families. We are so very grateful.”

Tickets to Homecoming go on-sale on Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. ET. They will be available at ntlhomecoming.com. Ticket information for MusicNOW will be announced shortly. For more information, head to the festival’s website, and check out a full list of the Homecoming lineup below!
