The Beastie Boys to Offer “Multidimensional Experience” with New Book

In today’s New York Times Ben Sisario reports that the Beastie Boys’ Mike D (Michael Diamond) and Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz) have signed a book deal. Spiegel & Grau will publish the work, which they expect to release in 2015. The article notes that the as-yet-untitled book will be a “multidimensional experience” since Diamond’s initial thoughts on the project were “I don’t want to do a straight memoir.” The project apparently was first discussed a few years back then tabled due to the salivary cancer of MCA (Adam Yauch). Yauch passed away on May 4, 2012.
