Stand Up for Heroes Unveils Lineup for 18th Annual Benefit: Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, DJ Questlove and More

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the New York Comedy Festival will welcome the return of the Stand Up for Heroes benefit, set to stage at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall at 8 p.m. For its 18th annual celebration, the event will carry on its mission of honoring our nation’s veterans and their families, and guaranteeing their safe and thriving futures, through an evening of top-tier performances for a good cause. This year’s event taps yet another A-list lineup of comedians and musicians, welcoming Jim Gaffigan, Norah Jones, DJ Questlove, Marc Normand, Jon Stewart, Patti Scialfa, Jerry Seinfeld and Bruce Springsteen, with more still to be announced.

Stand Up for Heroes serves to raise awareness and financial support for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which is committed to improving the lives of veterans, service members and their families through a wide range of programs, including housing, career support, health counseling, disaster relief, legal aid, financial assistance and more. Since its premiere in 2007, the high-profile event has raised roughly $84 million to advance the organization’s cause.

“For 17 years, at each Stand Up for Heroes, I’ve been impressed to see so many come together to honor the bravery and resilience of our veterans,” said Woodruff, an ABC correspondent who created the foundation after suffering a traumatic brain injury while reporting on the Iraq War in 2006, per Billboard. “Our 18th event will be another outstanding tribute to those who served and a reminder to all of us of the debt we owe them and their families for their service and sacrifices.”

Tickets for this year’s Stand Up for Heroes benefit will go on sale this Saturday, Sept. 5. For more information on the Bob Woodruff Foundation and how you can support their mission, visit bobwoodrufffoundation.org.
