Report: Mick Jagger to Undergo Heart Valve Surgery

After his band postponed their entire batch of upcoming North American tour dates three days ago, legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger will reportedly undergo surgery to repair a heart valve. The Drudge Report initially shared the news, revealing the specific reason for the Stones’ announcement.

According to Drudge Report, Jagger, 75, will have the surgery in New York City and is expected to make a full recovery from the operation, which “has a 95% success rate.”

In their original postponement announcement, The Rolling Stones cited Jagger’s need for “medical treatment” as the reason for the decision.

“I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets, I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger wrote with the band’s statement. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on the road as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”
