Phish, Goose, Pearl Jam and More Give Away Exclusive Prizes and Experiences Through FanAidLA
As the greater Los Angeles area sets out on the long road to recovery from the devastating wildfires that swept across the region in January, Fandiem has mobilized the power of fan communities to channel contributions to vital causes. Today, Feb. 12, the fan-driven fundraising platform unveiled FanAid LA, a new initiative to bring critical relief to Southern California with some serious star power. The platform has united 18 iconic artists–and some close favorites of the jam scene–to offer a range of prizes that are just a donation away.
Through FanAid LA, fans can contribute to charities of their favorite artists’ choosing to earn entries in lotteries for everything from live experiences to artist encounters and instruments. Phish fans can donate to The Waterwheel Foundation to win flights, hotel stays and multi-night passes for the bands’ series in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Portland, Ore, as well as a poster. Goose fans can donate to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund to win a flyaway VIP package for two to Viva El Gonzo, plus a Solodome Luxury Audio Atmosphere Chair, Victrola Hi-Res Carbon Turntable and bottle of Wild Turkey Master’s Triumph Rye Whiskey. Pearl Jam fans can donate to the band’s own Vitalogy Foundation to win a Fender “Vintera 60’s Stratocaster” signed by all 5 band members and a signed poster from their July 10, 2006 show with Sonic Youth in Los Angeles.
