Phil Lesh and Terrapin Crossroads Presents Fill Out Sunday Daydream Vol. 3 Lineup

Phil Lesh and Terrapin Crossroads Presents have unveiled the complete lineup for Sunday Daydream Vol. 3. The event will occur on Sunday, July 21, on the Marin County shoreline at McNears Beach in San Rafael, Calif., and has been bulked up to include added talent, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel and Greg Loiacono & Stingray. Also included, Scott Law and Elliott Peck will host music all day on the “Keep It Weird “Acoustic Bar Stage.
Outside of the latest entertainment additions, Phil Lesh & Friends are also slated to perform a 50th-anniversary homage to the Grateful Dead’s Hollywood Bowl concert, which happened on July 21, 1974, and is considered an ideal representation of the mid-70s era setlist, with inclusions such as “Me and My Uncle,” “El Paso,” “It Must Have Been The Roses” and more. The lineup is slated to include the namesake with Stanley Jordan, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Grahame Lesh, Jason Crosby, John Molo, and Mikaela Davis.
“With this festival series, we’re sharing the legacy of these wonderful musicians and tours and re-creating the community spirit of Terrapin Crossroads,” Lesh commented via press release. “I love the opportunity to celebrate this music, bring it to new and diverse audiences, and keep the spirit alive.”
In continuation of the Grateful Dead bassist’s summer schedule, Sunday Daydream Vol. 4 arrives on August 18 and will include another headlining frame from Lesh & Friends. Only this time, the lineup frays from the July event, with more talented artists supporting the Bay Area vet, including Taylor Goldsmith, Stu Allen, Holly Bowling, Griffin Goldsmith, Natalie Cressman, and Grahame Lesh. The Sam Grisman Project will join the Vol. 4 lineup, paying tribute to the musical legacy of Jerry Garcia and David Grisman with their own frame of music.
In the press release, Grisman shared a note about the intent behind his project format and an idea of what folks can expect. “The music that my father, David Grisman, and his close friend, Jerry Garcia, made in the early 90s (in the house that I grew up in) is not only some of the most timeless acoustic music ever recorded, it also triggers my oldest and fondest musical memories.”
Tickets for Sunday Daydream Vol. 3 and 4 are on sale now.
