Paul McCartney has announced McCartney III Imagined, a version of his acclaimed McCartney III that features a series of artists covering and reimagining tracks from the record. The album will be released on Apr. 16.

McCartney himself curated the reimagined record, which features the work of Beck, Khruangbin, Phoebe Bridgers, Anderson .Paak, Ed O’Brien, Josh Homme and more. According to a press release, the artists were encouraged to perform the songs “in their own signature styles.”

“The result is a kaleidoscopic reinterpretation of an album Rolling Stone accurately tagged ‘an inspiration to us all’—one that serves as an extension of the instantly beloved McCartney III while standing on its own as brilliant and adventurous milestone in the McCartney discography,” continued the release.

In addition to the album announcement, McCartney also shared the first track from the record, Dominic Fike’s take on “The Kiss of Venus,” along with a new video. Listen to the new track below.
