Today, King Krule, also known as Archy Marshall, outlined a slew of tour dates set to coincide with the release of his new LP Space Heavy, which is set to drop on June 9 via Matador. The tour will see the English singer, songwriter, musician, rapper and record producer perform in the U.S., Europe and the U.K., along with festivals.
King Krule and his band will kick off their tour at First Ave in Minneapolis on July 21; they’ll then stop at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago the next day. Next, the tour will then take them through Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, N.Y., Nashville, Tenn., Denver, Seattle, and more. Their final show on the tour stateside will take place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Sept. 25.
Afterward, King Krule will take to the stage in venues across the United Kingdom and Europe from October to November, with appearances in cities like Prague, Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Dublin, London and more.
Space Heavy follows King Krule’s 2020 record, Man Alive!, and was written by Marshall over the course of two years spent between London and Liverpool. Marshall was heavily influenced by the concept of “the space between” while creating his latest songs, which he recorded with a team of collaborators, including producer Dilip Harris, saxophonist Ignacio Salvadores, drummer George Bass, bassist James Wilson, and guitarist Jack Towell.
Marshall has already shared the lead single from the album, “Seaforth,” along with a music video directed by Jocelyn Anquetil, which features Marshall alongside a pair of friendly dogs. Read more about the first taste of Space Heavy here.
General sale for tickets begins this Friday, May 5, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Learn more and find tickets here.
