Last night at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre in Tuscaloosa, AL, country star Sturgill Simpson welcomed fellow southern rocker Jason Isbell to the stage for a cover of Terry Allen’s “Amarillo Highway.” The two solo acts shared the stage and the spotlight during the tune, with both Simpson and Isbell taking turns on vocals. Isbell, an Alabama native, also traded solos with guitarist Laur Joamets, each effortlessly burning through their licks with flair. Watch the southern boys rip it up below.

After the concert, Simpson showed his gentlemanly manners by taking to Instagram and publicly thanking both Isbell for his appearance and the Tuscaloosa crowd for their support.
