FANS Sets Free Marathon Broadcast of Grateful Dead’s ‘Fare Thee Well’ Run at Soldier Field

On July 5, FANS.com will rebroadcast the Grateful Dead’s final ‘Fare Thee Well’ run, which originally took place on July 3-5, 2015 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. The broadcast celebrates the five-year anniversary of the event, and it marks the first time that these shows have been rebroadcasted.

While the broadcast is completely free, fans can send donations, which support Headcount. Fans will have the opportunity to Be In The Stream via a separate Zoom link.

The ‘Fare Thee Well’ shows marked the final time in history that Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann would share the stage together. It was the first time the four had performed together since The Dead’s 2009 tour. The “core four” were joined onstage by Trey Anastasio, Bruce Hornsby, and Jeff Chimenti for this momentous celebration of the Grateful Dead. In addition to the Soldier Field shows, the group also performed two shows at Santa Clara’s Levi Stadium on June 27 and 28, 2015.

The broadcast will begin at 12 noon ET on July 5 and will run until 12 a.m. To tune in, head to fans.com.
