A number of notable musicians – from Elvis Costello to Graham Nash to Katy Perry to Sting – will appear on the upcoming, free “Meditate America” virtual gala, offered by the David Lynch Foundation. The goal of the Dec. 3 event is to “bring transcendental meditation to healthcare workers, veterans, and families under trauma and stress.”

Lynch – known by many for his visionary work in television and film – started his namesake foundation in 2005 to spread the meditative practice, and has since “funded the implementation of scientifically proven stress-reducing modalities” to at-risk individuals worldwide.
