Today, Dinosaur Jr. announced a series of shows to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their sixth studio album, Where You Been. The band will be performing four nights at London’s Garage and seven nights at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Nov. 12-15 and Dec. 1-3 & 5-8, respectively.

Originally released in 1993 during the peak of the grunge movement in rock, Where You Been was Dinosaur Jr.’s second album with a major label. It made a significant impact, reaching the respectable position of No. 50 on the Billboard charts at the time.

Over the years, it has become evident that Dinosaur Jr.’s unique sound found on the LP–once described as nearly tamed noise–is, in fact, fully realized pop music in its own right. The subsequent generations of bands influenced by the works of J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph have experimented with their original post-hardcore song structures, revealing the melodic core that has always been present in the band’s music. Their contribution to the rock continuum remains a beautiful fusion of riffs, power, beats, and longing, along with a sharp eye for the boundless possibilities of the future.

During their shows in London and New York, they will showcase the iconic album in its entirety, along with a selection from their thunderous catalog, accompanied by a lineup of guest musicians and friends.

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting tomorrow, May 23, at 10 a.m. ET, with general on-sale beginning this Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m. ET. Learn more and find tickets here.
