David Crosby will serve as the guest on this week’s edition of the Grateful Dead’s ‘Shakedown Stream’ pre-show, hosted by David Lemieux and Gary Lambert. The following broadcast will feature the dead’s previously unreleased Sept. 29, 1989 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.

In their post announcing Crosby as the guest, the Dead shared a quote from the legendary singer-songwriter: “Somebody somewhere, sooner or later, has got to realize that the Grateful Dead is one of the best bands in the world. And I hope that it’s more than just the people who occasionally see them do a really stupendous set. But they’re — man, on a good night the Dead is as good as it gets. Period.”
