Rock legend Bruce Springsteen and former president Barack Obama are hitting the digital airwaves with their new podcast Renegades: Born in the USA.

As Obama notes in the first episode, “In our own ways, Bruce and I have been on parallel journeys. We still share a fundamental belief in the American ideal. Not as an airbrushed, cheap fiction or an act of nostalgia that ignores all the ways that we’ve fallen short of that ideal. But as a compass for the hard work that lies before each of us as citizens.”

The show is set to run for eight episodes and it will showcase “a deep and revealing conversation between the two friends, exploring a wide array of topics including race, fatherhood, marriage, and the state of America.”
