Bob Dylan Headed to Small Cities in First Tour of 2025, Remembers The Band’s Garth Hudson

Amid a resurgence of interest in his life and music, Bob Dylan has officially announced his first set of tour dates for 2025. Billed as a continuation of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, which was originally planned to conclude in 2024, the icon’s next outing comprises four stops in four strikingly small markets across the US.
Dylan will kick off his first live run of 2025 with a March 25 performance at the Tulsa Theater in Tulsa, Okla.; Tulsa is home to the Bob Dylan Center museum, which enshrines the artist’s musical legacy and recently celebrated 50 years of Blood on the Tracks with an all-star benefit concert. After this first staging, Dylan will head off to Wichita, Kansas for a March 29 engagement at Century II Concert Hall.
Dylan’s third stop on the new tour is his smallest: the legendary musician will stop in Mankato, Minn., the 21st largest city in the state where he was born, for a stand at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems Event Center on April 4. To conclude the series, the artist will race off to Green Bay, Wis. on April 6 for a stand at The Weidner-Cofrin Family Hall. The four-night run will be Dylan’s first tour since the release of the Academy Award-nominated film A Complete Unknown, which chronicles his rise to stardom in the budding folk movement and has kept his name and music in discourse for the past few months.
The itinerary for Dylan’s return to the spotlight arrived alongside the artist’s return to social media, where he penned a message of remembrance for The Band’s organist Garth Hudson, who passed away last Tuesday, Jan. 21. “Sorry to hear the news about Garth Hudson,” the artist posted to X. “He was a beautiful guy and the real driving force behind The Band. Just listen to the original recording of The Weight and you’ll see.”
