Today, Indy Festival Partners, in association with the Indiana State Fair Grounds and Event Center, have detailed the lineup behind The Tom Petty Dreamset, which is set to take place at the inaugural All IN Music Festival in Indianapolis on Sunday, Sept. 4. The performance will see the collaborative ensemble perform a selection of beloved tunes by the Gainesville, Fla.-rocker.

The artist handpicked to partake in the first-time tribute include the entire Dawes band, Cage the Elephant’s Matt Schultz and Daniel Tichenor, the legendary John Oates, Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda, mainstay Ivan Neville and Jenny Lewis. And, rounding out the lineup is Nicki Bluhm. Moreover, they shared that surprise special guests will likely be added.

News of the Tom Petty Dreamset comes weeks after All IN Music Festival unveiled the lineup for their other Dreamset, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 3, and feature the music of The Allman Brothers Band. The latter will see musical contributions from Chuck Leavell, Duane Betts, JoJo Hermann, Sunny Ortiz, Berry Oakley Jr., Gerry Hensen, Steve Morse, Bill Nershi and Samantha Fish. The Allman Brothers Dreamset will also see Leavell and Betts serve as Musical Directors for the Dreamset. 

Paul Peck, All IN Music & Arts Festival co-founder and Dreamset curator, shared, “We curated All IN to celebrate the power of great songs played live by amazing performers in an awesome environment.” He continued, “There is pure joy created in those moments. These Dreamsets are the purest form of that idea – world class artists, stepping into new territory to celebrate the songs we all know and creating a special experience that we will all share together.  With major surprises in the works these Dreamsets will be special moments in music history.”
