The String Cheese Incident Welcome Karl Denson for Prince and Bowie Tributes at Electric Forest

June 26, 2016

The String Cheese Incident continued their Electric Forest festival in Rothbury, MI with a headlining show that included appearances from Karl Denson as well as tributes to Prince and David Bowie.

The highlights began in the second set when Denson joined in for a take on Prince’s “Kiss,” marking the first time SCI has played the song. That cover quickly transitioned into a take on Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” with Denson. The KDTU bandleader then stayed on to jam with Michael Travis and Jason Hann as EOTO before busting out a cover of Bowie’s “Space Oddity,” marking the first time they’ve played the song since New Year’s Eve 2002.

String Cheese returns to the stage to close out Electric Forest tonight.
