Sir Paul McCartney to Headline 2020 Glastonbury Festival

This year’s Glastonbury Festival, set for Jun. 24 through 28 in Pilton, Somerset, England, will feature a headlining performance by none other than Sir Paul McCartney.

“We are incredibly excited to announce that Paul McCartney will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday of next year’s Glastonbury Festival, on June 27th,” read the event’s website. The legendary festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the 2020 edition, which makes Sir McCartney’s appearance all the more fitting.

“Having Paul McCartney coming back to headline the Pyramid next year is an absolute dream come true,” said Glastonbury co-organizer Emily Eavis. “There really was no one that we wanted more for the 50th Anniversary.” (McCartney previously headlined the festival in 2004.)

In October, Glastonbury announced that Diana Ross will be performing during the Sunday “Legends Slot,” which will also mark her first live appearance in the U.K. since 2008. The remainder of the lineup has yet to be announced.

Tickets for Glastonbury 2020 are already sold out; however, the festival has stated that there will be resales of returned ticket packages in the coming months. For more information, visit the Glastonbury website.
