Celebrate Brooklyn Festival Sets Full Lineup

The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival will return to the Prospect Park Bandshell this summer for its 38th annual run of outdoor shows on June 8–August 13, and now the final schedule for this summer’s shows is set.

Among the festival’s free concerts are a kickoff show from Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings on June 8, along with performances from the Violent Femmes, Alvvays, Bombino, Femi Kuti, Josh Ritter, Jon Batiste & Stay Human, The Wood Brothers and many more.

There will also be big-name benefit concerts from Tame Impala, Ray LaMontagne, case/lang/veirs, Beirut, The Lumineers and Herbie Hancock. Other events during the festival will include the Music & Movies series that will put on a July 14 Bastille Day presentation of The Triplets of Bellville with a live score, plus the world premiere ofThe Hubble Cantata, matched with video from the Hubble telescope, on August 6.
