In honor of the second anniversary of blues guitarist and songwriter Jared James Nichols’ “Threw Me To The Wolves,” the artist has decided to revisit the single. On Threw Me To The Wolves (Revisited) Nichols reexamines and reinvents the song’s deeper meaning with the help of featured artists Maggie Rose and Joe Bonamassa.

“Revisiting ‘Threw Me to the Wolves’ brings a wave of emotions (good and bad) right back to me,” Nichols explains. “I have grown and evolved so much as an artist the past two years, finding myself going deeper and deeper into my music. ‘Threw Me To The Wolves’ has grown as well, and its meaning has become even more profound to me personally. Although we all come from different walks of life, the wolf can signify individual struggles, of which we’ve all had plenty in the last couple years: love, loss, betrayal, revenge…any of it.”

Today we are premiering “Threw Me To The Wolves (Extended Version)” from the forthcoming release, which finds Nichols joined by Bonamassa. Nichols tells Relix, “Growing up, I had a Joe Bonamassa poster on my wall right next to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Leslie West, & Jimi Hendrix. For me, Joe has always been one of my guitar heroes, and now he is one of my best friends,” said Jared James Nichols in a statement. “It’s a musical dream come true to be trading licks and tearing up with Joe on this version of ‘Threw Me to the Wolves.’ The recording is a complete guitar tour de force…turn it up and hang on tight!”
