Yes, you read that correctly. William Shatner and his star-studded band featuring Billy Sherwood and Rick Wakeman (Yes), Robby Krieger (The Doors), George Duke (Frank Zappa), Steve Vai (Zappa), Zoot Horn Rollo (Captain Beefheart), Edgar Winter, country artist Vince Gill, jazz saxophonist Dave Koz and guitarist Al Di Meola will take part in Shatner’s new prog-rock LP Ponder the Mystery. The video, featuring Shatner in a pin-striped suit, is truly a sight to behold. While comical at times, musically the title track is rewarding thanks to the all-star cast of prog and fusion masters.
