Watch The Killers Cover Elvis Presley at Bunbury with the Cincinnati Reds’ Fireworks
Cincinnati’s Bunbury Music Festival took place on the same weekend as a homestand from the Cincinnati Reds against the Washington Nationals and sure enough, the two found a way to cross paths.
Over at Great American Ballpark, the Reds were putting the finishing touches on a 7-2 win over the Nationals on Friday night at the same time as The Killers were launching into their headlining set. As the game went final, the ballpark shot off fireworks into the Cincinnati sky, getting the attention of Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. “Looks like the Reds won,” he said from the stage. Flowers joked that the Vegas rockers brought a little of their Sin City good luck with them to the team and decided to launch into a sweet cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as the fireworks painted the sky.
