Stephen Colbert’s rule as host of Late Show continued to deliver in the music department as the host welcomed Jack White’s The Dead Weather for their first performance in five years. Once again, the group proved it’s a damn shame they won’t be touring around their forthcoming record Dodge and Burn because this performance of “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)” will burn your face off. 

The success of this performance surely turns the headlines back in Jack White’s favor after a report that the Dead Weather drummer tried to fight Patrick Carney at a New York City bar earlier in the week. The two have since made up and went on to perform their respective gigs that evening, with White hitting the Colbert stage and Carney participating in Neil Fest at Bowery Ballroom.
