Watch: Punch Brothers Take on The Strokes’ “Reptilia”

Punch Brothers seized the first opportunity to perform on The AV Club’s 2015 Undercover series, which stretches over thirty weeks. To start things off, the string band took on The Strokes’ “Reptilia” for one of the most unique takes on the tune to date.
Frontman Chris Thile also tells a humorous story to begin the performance, recounting a time he saw The Strokes play. “He was so hammered,” Thile says of Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas. That leads into an all-too-accurate impression of Casablancas’ before the band launches into the Room on Fire track.
