Watch: My Morning Jacket Throw Out the First Pitch at White Sox Game

Something about rock and rollers throwing out the first pitch in Chicago, but we have yet another one as My Morning Jacket visited The South Siders yesterday as they took on the Houston Astros. The band let keyboardist Bo Koster do the honors from the mound, delivering a nice strike. Koster also mentioned he’s named after longtime Cleveland Indians catcher Bo Diaz.

“He was my favorite player and my brother’s favorite player,” Koster said of Diaz. “My Mom used to call me ‘Boo’ and my brother started calling be ‘Bo’ because of that,” he added. Koster also noted he played third base in high school before ultimately deciding on a career in music. Jim James was also hit on the head with a fly ball as a kid, giving him a concussion.
