Watch: Mumford & Sons Team with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus for “Sweet Dreams”
Mumford & Sons wrapped up a two-night run at The Forum in Los Angeles and surprised fans when they brought out none other than Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus for a completely unlikely pairing that also featured Jack Garrett and The Vaccines, who opened the show. The ensemble came together for a cover of Eurythmics hit “Sweet Dreams” before Mumford closed the set with their run of hits.
The Eurythmics cover is just one more step on the “we swear we’re a rock band now” movement that Mumford has been on since the release of Wilder Mind. In the recent months, they’ve offered up covers of The Offspring, The Beatles and others along with the material from their arena rock-focused album.
