Watch Jason Isbell’s Fiery Cover of Tom Petty’s “Refugee” with the 400 Unit in Nashville

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit already did their part to honor the late Tom Petty during their set at MEMPHO Festival with two covers, and continued the homage to the late musical icon on their first of six nights at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Kicking off their encore, the band dove into “Refugee” after covering “Even the Losers” and “American Girl” earlier this week in Memphis. The impassioned version of the song, led by Isbell and guitarist Sadler Vaden, proves to be one of the most cathartic Petty tributes of the bunch.
