Dr. Dog Wrote a Song for the Phillie Phanatic
The Philadelphia Phillies stink. They are absolutely terrible and barely play anything that resembles professional baseball at this point. This is the bright spot of their season, so cherish it, Philly.
Last year, Dr. Dog entered the studio with none other than the Phillie Phanatic to record the official theme song for the mascot, ultimately entitled “The Phanatic Song.” The tune was written and performed by the Philly indie rockers.
The song will be featured on an upcoming DVD The Phillie Phanatic’s One Man Band, which will be given out at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on September 13 when the Phillies take on the Cubs. Children under the age of 14 will receive the DVD.
Listen to the song here. Also, watch the Phanatic jam on stage with Dr. Dog at the Electric Factory last year.
