Last night on Conan, the host boasted a pair of strong musical performances as Death Cab for Cutie served as the official musical guest with a rollicking performance of their danceable new single “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive,” taken from their latest Kintsugi. 

It was what came before that felt like a bonus performance as Boy George and Jack Black (both guests on last night’s show) teamed up with The Doors’ Robby Krieger, who joined Jimmy Vivino and the house band, for a cover of the band’s “Hello I Love You.” It was one of those “spontaneous” late night moments that ended up pairing some of the more unique voices in music together for what turned out to be a well-rehearsed, fun singalong of the band’s Waiting for the Sun cut.
